Don’t aim to win

Self-sufficient mind

When you long for something you lose your beginner’s mind

When we strive for difference

A forcing against reality and a grasping of an alternate reality

Seeing beginner’s mind, our self-sufficient mind, as our true Buddha Nature, allows us to

come closer to the big mind without strings or expectation.

Lojong: “don’t aim to win”

Striving for superiority, the self-centered/ego-driven self,

is a striving for anti-big mind (a friction/unwillingness to

see our interconnectedness with others).

If I win - at someone’s expense - I am not contributing to

reality, or to others’ Buddha Natures.

Winning takes this from them.
